It's a bit tricky to test as there are several connector pins, and they all have different functions. The best way to do it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read around 1000 ohms when the sensor is at full operation. If you're having issues with this component, look for evidence of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at full speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs. Three were soaked with gazoline and the fourth was dry. I put tissue over each injector hole, and when I start the engine without sparks, the ones with gazoline jump right out. The 4th one remains closed. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55/30/55/48/55/14/55/48/ i get 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset PID without success. The car key cover audi will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it works fine when the G28 connected. However the intermittent misfire issue still occurs at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when it is unplugged, shows an ice temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars while the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not certain what to do, as i feel i have pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. But i'm worried that I may have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please share them! TIA!
